What’s the experience of returning home after prison? How does artistic practice support re-entry for youth? Sociologist Bruce Western, along with Natalie Smith, Azan Reid, and John Tavares, presented findings from his book Homeward: Life in the Year After Prison. Curtis Young, executive director of Artistic Noise, was joined by Yasmine Awais and Francesca De Basio to share artwork made by participants in the organizations programming and to talk about how creative programs support young system-impacted people.
